Anika's Birthday

We had Anika's birthday party in January 2009.She decided on a Barbie Pool party. The Saturday however it was overcast and it looked like rain. All my praying paid of and we had sunshine by the time the guests arrived. It was so much fun.

The Bull was on bike one night thing and arrived after the guests leaving my darling sister and Anika's Godmother to go and do the last minute shopping. As punishment he had to watch the screaming girls in the swimming pool

First day of school

The twins went to school this year.We had them in the same class and what a disaster. The teacher could not control them and therefor I had them split. It went a little better and I saw a huge improvement in their social skills. However with every report card we received it still said that their best friends was each other. We went through the sport days, school concert, christmas sind along and I have to say they enjoyed it/

Anika was also moved from grade pre-R to grade R and enjoyed every moment. She is such a perfect little girl.I have erolled her for grade R next year at the primary school as she will only be turning 6 in January. We also had her graduation and a ballet exam this year.

OK, so I have been the absolute worst blogger ever.Sue me..........
What a hectic year.Trying to be a mother of three and juggling a job is not fun all the time.
The calf's are growing and as all healthy 5 and 3 year old's drive their parents crazy.I have developed a ever increasing amount of grey hair that needs coloring every 3 weeks.

I will try to give a overview of what happened at the barn over the last year.So stay tuned.

The calfs hits the beach

For those that is not familiar with South Africa, Port Elizabeth is called the windy city.If you wake up the morning and the sun is shining with no wind you hit the beach. The Wednesday was a day like that.We packed a picnic basket and this time told grandma to come with. When we got to the beach there was a slight breeze and Anika did not even put her cozzie on.The played in the sand and didn't want to swim with me in the see.

They had a joll.We had lunch and then walked down Happy Valley. This is a stretch that follows a small little river and they have all these characters, much to the delight of the kids.
Needless to say they fell asleep on the way home.

Visit to the underworld.....

The Tuesday we went to the Port Elizabeth aquarium. The thing about going on holiday out of season is they normally clean tanks and get ready for the holiday season. They were cleaning the seal enclosure and we did not see the seals swim around.

Great grandmother came with again and we got to see some nice creatures.
Here is some piccies. The children was finished and fell asleep in the car.

We went to the beach...

On Sunday we just hang around at my parents house and by Monday my mom was ready to commit herself to the nearest institute. The wind was pumping in PE and I took the kids to the park and to a nearby farm to look at the animals.

They were nagging to see the see so we loaded my grandmother(which is also visiting) into the car and we went to the beach. The sand was blowing against their legs and that was the end of the nagging. We went to the Wimpy for some icecream and that was the end of day 1.

Here is some pics:

So I took the calves on holiday...

As the bull was going to our yearly internet bike forum get together and I need a holiday, I decided to go to Port Elizabeth(Where my parents stay) on holiday. My dad came down with the plain a week before we had to go and he was to drive down with me and the calves. The trip is about 1100km and we were to leave at 4am on Saterday the 1 November.

The calves was very well behaved in the car.We stopped regularly and had lunch in Graaff Reinet. Here is some pics.
