January came and I enrolled Anika at the Primary school for grade R again. As I think I mentioned before intellectually my kid is far ahead but emotionally she wasn't there yet.Off course she enjoys grade R as this is at the school and she got to make lots of new friends that will join her next year in grade 1.I went today and started buying school uniform for next year.
Did I get a shock. A school dress for a 7 to 8 year old R200.I will be buying school uniform from now till December. At least then I won't have the expense all at once in January(When no one has money after the silly season)
Anika's godfather got married in February. They are 2 special people and I hope them all the best for the future. At this same wedding a friend of ours mentioned that he has Jack Russel puppies and if we know of anybody we must please let him know.Needless to say the bull decided that will be the coolest and the dog will entertain the twins and they will be best of friends. We reserved a little male as Fred our dachshund was getting old and maybe this is a good idea.
Needless to say the day arrived and we picked up the new family member. Now know as Stoffel. He was the smallest little thing.Of course the kids enjoyed him.I had to play referee as the doberman Sheyla decided to adopt him.She got milk within a week and she weened him.Between Sheyla and the kids Stoffel was well sorted.I noticed that when he started walking around he would bump into stuff.I had the vet take a look and we discovered that poor Stoffel was blind.
Now I have a dachshund that is nearly death and a Jack Russel that is blind.Stoffel adapted so easily. He now navigates the whole house and yard without bumping into anything. He shews on everything like all pups do, the only difference is he can't see what it is he is shewing. He shewed on Anika's bedside lamps wires and had a black burn mark on his bum.He must have gotten a shock.
Taking about shock Werner tried to bite the electric fence and got burned underneath his chin.Does all children do this or only mine?
